This bracket allows you to attach an Orion SkyLine Green Laser Pointer to the SkyScout digital planetarium for easy pointing. The dual-ring ABS bracket threads with a single screw (included) into the socket on the side of the SkyScout. Thumbscrews and a spring-loaded X-Y adjustment on the bracket's rings allow quick alignment of the SkyLine. Once it's aligned, you won't have to look through the SkyScout to identify celestial objects -- just point the green beam at an object and hit the Target button on the SkyScout! Others around you will be able to see what you're aiming at. This bracket is recommended ONLY for use with the Orion SkyLine Green Laser Pointer, which has been thoroughly tested to ensure it will not interfere with SkyScout's GPS system or pointing accuracy. Other brands of green laser pointer could cause interference and inaccuracy.

A T-ring converts a camera's mount to a standard T-thread, allowing you to couple a camera body to a camera adapter or, in some cases, directly to the focuser of a telescope. All camera adapters, including Celestron and Meade T-adapters and universal camera adapters, will fit this T-thread. Have a new digital SLR camera? We've got the T-rings you'll need. The #5224 T-ring fits the Canon 300D Digital Rebel, also the 10D, 20D, 20Da, 30D, 350D, and 5D digital SLRs. For Nikon DSLR owners, the #5205 T-ring is compatible with the Nikon D50, D70, D70s, and D200.

Ambient daylight is normally comprised of multiple wavelengths of light, vibrating in multiple planes. The Eyepiece Polarizing Filter Set transmits only light moving along a specific plane, thereby increasing the contrast between surfaces with different planar transmissions. Generally, the polarization effect makes blue skies a deeper blue, eliminates surface reflections and helps reduce atmospheric haze. The Polarizing Filter Set is intended for visual use. It's particularly useful for reducing glare while observing the moon, double stars, the planets and terrestrial subjects - all without affecting the color of the object being observed. The Filter Set is comprised of two filters that thread into either the eyepiece or the filter adapter, which comes with the set. When one filter is used alone, you get 30% light transmission. When both filters are used together, you can vary the degree of transmission. By causing the amount of transmitted light to vary, the filters become, in effect, a continuously variable neutral density filter. At maximum density, the Polarizing Filter Set transmits only 5% of entering light.

The bestselling astronomers' flashlight with 2 Red LEDs. The intensity is fully adjustable with Thumbwheel Brightness Control. Exclusive brightness regulation circuitry keeps the LEDs shining bright as batteries age, unlike other LED flashlights which start bright but quickly fade. The Mini Starlites are only 3.5" long, 2 inches shorter than the standard Size water resistant version. NOT water resistant (sorry there's only so much we could squeeze in), but all the other great features in a smaller, lighter case.

A good atlas is essential for travel. This excellent atlas will take the voyager on a journey through the night sky with unparalleled ease and accuracy. The long-awaited second edition of Wil Tirion's superb Sky Atlas 2000.0 offers 43,000 additional stars with all positions now derived from the Hipparcos database. The atlas opens out to reveal 26 charts, each one 20 inches wide and 15 inches deep. This large format allows the stars, nebulas and galaxies to be displayed with unrivaled clarity. For this edition, improved isophotal (objects with same light intensity) maps are used for the Milky Way, and extra charts for crowded areas of the sky have been added. Within the constellations, Flamsteed numbers identify the brighter stars by name, while NGC and Messier numbers are used for nonstellar objects. Color coding and size graduation are used to visually convey the maximum information on star types and brightnesses. This atlas is an indispensable aid for all users of astronomical telescopes.

Designed to fit snugly over the aperture of your telescope, these optical glass filters block 99.999% of incoming sunlight, allowing you to safely observe sunspots and solar granulation in the Sun's photosphere. The Sun appears in a natural, whitish color. The glass elements are machine-polished and triple-coated with nickel-chromium stainless steel for a scratch-resistant surface. Each filter has three nylon thumbscrews to ensure a snug fit to the front of your telescope or binocular. The thumbscrews complement the press-fit foam lining inside the filter's durable aluminum cell to accommodate diameters up to ¼" smaller than the nominal size. A tight press fit is still required for safe solar viewing. Lifetime limited warranty.
